Stay at The Palace of Versailles and Step Back in History

It's no secret that the French know how to do luxury. From the fashion to the food, everything about France exudes a certain je ne sais quoi. So it should come as no surprise that when it comes to accommodations, the country once again does not disappoint. Nestled in the heart of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, Airelles Château de Versailles Le Grand Contrôle is the epitome of luxury and style.

With its gorgeous grounds, luxurious rooms, and impeccable service, it's no wonder this hotel is a favorite among the elites. It's a stay that’s definitely worth splurging on for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Location, Location, Location

One of the things that make Airelles Château de Versailles Le Grand Contrôle so special is its location. The hotel is situated within the gates of Versailles, which means guests have direct access to all of the palace's stunning grounds. In fact, many of the rooms at the hotel offer views of either the palace or its sprawling gardens. Talk about a perfect way to wake up in the morning!

Checking in

Upon arrival at Airelles Château de Versailles Le Grand Contrôle, you'll be blown away by the grandeur of the hotel. The lobby is decorated with beautiful chandeliers and curated artifacts/furniture, and the staff is eager to help you with whatever you need. I had a dedicated butler that truly went above and beyond throughout my stay. I was greeted by the General Manager, Julien Révah, and he took me on a detailed walkthrough sharing various history and details of the hotel.

The Suite

The rooms are spacious and elegantly appointed, with huge beds and luxurious bathrooms. You'll have everything you need to relax and enjoy your stay at the hotel.

I stayed at the Necker suite, which is one of the most opulent and luxurious suites on property. The suite is named after Jacques Necker, the finance minister for Louis XVI, and many decor touches were modeled after Marie Antoinette’s Petit Trianon. I must point out that they have a Dyson hairdryer, which I strongly believe all luxury hotels should have at this point. It’s the little things.

The Spa

Offering a luxurious haven of peace and relaxation, Spa at Versailles offers a peaceful escape in an exceptional place devoted to relaxation and beauty, in conjunction with the high-end Swiss brand Valmont. The spa also has a 15-metre pool and the floor is tiled in Carrare marble, directly inspired by the marble used in the Château courtyard, giving the place a royal, intimate and luxurious atmosphere.

Restaurant

Le Grand Contrôle is a Michelin-starred restaurant on site that offers an unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant is overseen by renowned chef Alain Ducasse. Alain Ducasse is a name synonymous with fine dining. His Michelin-starred restaurants are known for their exquisite cuisine, impeccable service, and luxurious surroundings. The decor of the restaurant pays tribute to the building's regal history with crystal chandeliers and gilded mirrors. The menu features classic French dishes with a modern twist, and the wine list includes some of the finest vintages from around the world. Whether you're looking for an intimate dinner for two or a grand celebration, Le Grand Contrôle is sure to make your dining experience truly unforgettable.

Final Thoughts

If you want to feel like a royal for a day or even longer, I highly recommend Airelles Château de Versailles Le Grand Contrôle. From the moment you arrive, you are enveloped in luxury and history. The staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and they truly make your stay unforgettable. Whether you’re looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or just want to escape reality for a while, this chateau will exceed your expectations. It is by far, my favorite stay at a luxury hotel to date.
